平衡轴是吊车的一个重要组成部件，对吊车的正常安全使用起着至关重要的作用。也是磨损率比较高的部件。购买一根平衡轴（约1.2米/根）需420元，后经过不断的实践探索，工人们用钢管进行替代，虽然比购买的平衡轴稍细一些，但是在不影响使用的情况下，造价却只是购买价格的十分之一。至此，所有吊车的平衡轴都由自己加工，自己更换，仅此一项，便节省了大量费用。
